Whether it's about the accommodation, the facilities, the leisure activities or the catering - we have compiled the most important questions of our guests and provide you with the appropriate answers here. You will find useful information about our room categories, activities for children and adults, on-site services and much more.

It is important to us that you feel in good hands with us and can enjoy your family vacation to the fullest. That's why we are happy to take the time to answer your questions and help you plan and prepare.

This is how our check-in works

Your booked accommodation and the associated services will be available to you from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival.

This is how our check-out works

Your accommodation and the booked services are at your disposal until 11 a.m. on the day of departure.

If you would like to have lunch on the day of departure, this is possible for a small surcharge. Please let us know at the reception desk.

Deposit and payment options

Upon receipt of the booking confirmation, a deposit of 50% of the travel price is due. Please transfer this within 14 days of receiving the booking confirmation.

You can pay the remaining amount in advance or pay in cash or with a debit card upon departure.

Games and media library

DVD and Blue Ray players, as well as a selection of movies are available for rent.

Board games and books for children and adults can be found in the Sindalan and in the parents' lounge.

Your baby equipment on site

Together with your booking confirmation you will receive the form "Baby equipment" for children up to 3 years. In this form you will find a list of the baby equipment available with us. Please let us know before your arrival what equipment you need so that we can prepare everything for your arrival.

Your stay in a vacation home

When staying in our vacation homes you will also receive "Kids All-Inclusive" for your children and "All-Inclusive alcohol-free" for the adults.

Of course we equip your vacation cottage with bed linen and towels for your arrival.

However, there is no daily cleaning. Towels can be exchanged at any time free of charge at the reception, new toilet paper and garbage bags are also available there.

For a 7-day stay, an intermediate cleaning is included.

Arrival and departure by bus and train

Cabs are available at the train station to take you to the hotel for a small fee. The way to the hotel is 2.5 km and can be done on foot in 20-30 minutes.

Pets in Family Club Harz

Your four-legged family members are very welcome in our house. To ensure all guests feel comfortable, please note the following:

For your dog we charge an additional 15 € per night without food.

  • 15 € per night (without food)
  • Leash requirements throughout the entire hotel grounds
  • No dogs in the restaurant, swimming pool, or play areas.
  • Additional cleaning: 40 € for failure to comply with the rules
  • Not permitted: Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, and their crossbreeds
  • If you are well exercised outside every day, you will behave much more calmly in the accommodation. Out of consideration for your neighbors, please make sure your dog can stay well and quietly alone in the accommodation.

Special notes on diet

Together with your booking confirmation you will receive the form "Allergies and Intolerances".

If this is relevant for you, we ask you to inform us about your allergies, intolerances and special dietary requirements before your arrival so that we can prepare everything accordingly for you.

Please note:
Our kitchen is not a certified diet or allergen kitchen. Despite the utmost care, traces of allergenic substances (e.g., gluten, nuts, dairy products) cannot be completely ruled out. We would like to point out that there is a certain residual risk, especially in the case of celiac disease or severe food allergies.

We ask for your understanding and are happy to advise you to find a suitable solution together.

Bathrobe rental

Bathrobes can be rented at the reception for a fee of 5 €, children's bathrobes for a fee of 3 €.

Swimming pool use

Our swimming pool and outdoor pool is open for you daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Additional towels are available in the swimming pool area for bathing fun.

Changing rooms and baby changing facilities are available.

Cancellation conditions for your booking

Cancellation is free of charge up to 6 weeks before arrival. Cancellations made within 6 weeks to 10 days prior to arrival will be charged 50%, from 10 days to the day of arrival 80% of the total amount.

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance, information for this you will receive with your booking confirmation.

Interim cleanings

Main house interim cleaning
 
We do not provide daily cleaning so you can enjoy your vacation without any interruptions. Upon arrival, we will inform you of the scheduled cleaning interval.

If you would like a different schedule or daily cleaning, please let the reception know.

In the "quick grab," right next to the elevator on both floors, you'll find everything you need for small or large emergencies at all times.

Interim cleaning of vacation homes

The vacation homes are not cleaned in between. Towels can be exchanged at the reception at any time free of charge, and you can also get new toilet paper and trash bags there.

For a 7-day stay, an intermediate cleaning is included.

WLAN in the entire Family Club Harz

WLAN is available free of charge during your stay.

Swimming course for children aged 4 and up

The swimming course for children aged 4 and up starts with water confidence exercises. Then the children learn arm and leg movements, rocket, starfish, and diving. The removal of the "Seepferdchen" is possible if the following tasks are completed:

  • 25 m swimming without a swim aid
  • Jump from the pool edge
  • Picking up an object from shoulder-deep water

Swimming lessons are usually held Monday through Friday.

Drinks for on the way

To make sure that you don't lack anything in your accommodation or during an excursion, you can get deposit bottles from our service staff, which you can return at the end of your stay.

Postcards and stamps

Postcards and stamps are available at the reception.

Washing and drying clothes

If something should go wrong, you can use the washing machine and dryer for 5 €. You can get the key at the reception. Washing powder is available.

Riding for children and adults

As a family activity, on Wednesdays and Fridays around 10:30 a.m. we go pony riding at the horse farm (subject to change). We reach the farm after a 10-minute walk through the forest.

Here the children can ride a few rounds in the riding hall. You will be guided by the experienced staff of the riding farm.

We have the necessary riding helmets ready for you.

For our horse-loving guests:

You are welcome to book individual riding and lungeing lessons or rides.

The price and date arrangement is made directly with the horse farm. We will gladly provide you with the contact details.

Alcoholic beverages

Your "all-inclusive non-alcoholic" meal plan does not include alcoholic beverages.
 
Prices for the alcoholic beverages and cocktails on our beverage menu are available upon request.

Smoking etiquette

Please take into account that smoking is not allowed in the entire hotel and apartments. Smoking is allowed on the balconies, terraces and the outdoor area.

Please pay attention to our youngest guests.
