At the Family Club Harz, you can enjoy a carefree vacation not only with your children, but also with your dog. Our 40,000 m² hotel complex surrounded by nature offers ideal conditions for children, parents, and four-legged friends. Plenty of space, plenty of nature, plenty of possibilities!
For accommodating your dog, we charge a small surcharge of €15 per night. We kindly ask you to bring your own dog food, as we know every dog has its own preferences and we want to ensure they can enjoy their favorite meals. Please also take note of our few simple rules.

To ensure your four-legged friend feels completely at ease, we offer a selection of dog-friendly accommodations. Please let us know before your arrival if you plan to bring your dog, so we can prepare everything for their stay.

Important information for your stay with your dog
To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, a few simple rules apply when staying with your dog at our family hotel:
We charge an additional €15 per night for your dog, excluding food.
- Insurance: Please ensure that your dog is adequately insured for the hotel stay.
- Walking your dog: Please leave the hotel premises when taking your dog for a walk. If “something” does happen, please clean up after your dog and dispose of it in the waste bins.
- Restricted areas: Out of consideration for other guests, dogs are NOT allowed in the restaurant, swimming pool area, or playrooms.
- Leash requirement: Even though most of our family dogs are used to lively children, every dog reacts differently. Therefore, dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the entire hotel grounds.
- Leaving your dog alone: Please ensure that your dog remains calm in the accommodation when left alone, so as not to disturb other guests.
Unfortunately, we cannot permit Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terriers, or any crossbreeds among these or with other dogs.
